Function

Eekels | TBI is looking for a Commissioning Engineer Marine & Offshore for the Kolham location. As a Commissioning Engineer Marine & Offshore, you will start up and set up both control engineering and associated electrical installations. You will also solve problems that you encounter during the inspection and approval of the installations and systems for technical completeness.

What is expected of you?

  • Starting up and adjusting both control engineering and associated electrical installations;
  • Analyzing and assessing the existing situation with the aim of adjusting the system to match the specifications of our clients;
  • Solve problems you encounter when checking and approving installations and systems for technical completeness in a smart way;
  • Communicating clearly and in a timely manner with the internal and external client and any inspection bodies during the acceptance of systems;
  • Ensuring improvement of the quality and operational reliability of the installations;
  • Ultimately responsible for a ready-to-use delivery;
  • Responsible handling of technical data, drawings, inspection plans, test protocols, specifications and contract conditions;
  • Keeping track of revisions and performing additional recording tasks.


Environment

The business unit Marine & Offshore supplies worldwide electrical services and systems for Marine & Offshore applications. Complete installations are custom designed and produced for installations at Dutch shipyards. In addition, complete installations are shipped as a ready-made construction kit to shipyards in Romania, Vietnam, India, China and various other countries. The electrical services to the shipbuilding industry consist of: advice, system engineering and design, delivery of customer-specific systems and/or standard systems, panel building, installation work, commissioning and service and maintenance.

Experience

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

  • Completed higher professional education (bachelor) in Energy Technology/Electronics;
  • At least 5 years of work experience in commissioning, preferably within the maritime sector;
  • Flexibility is important;
  • Strong communicator, analytical and likes to get to the bottom of things;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;
  • Willingness to carry out (offshore) work at all common project locations;
  • High VGM awareness.
