Drive Specialist

Eekels | TBI is looking for a Drive Specialist for the Kolham location for the Systems Business Unit.

What is expected of you?

• Within a team of hardware, electronics and software engineers, you are a technical source of information for the team;
• Creating single-line diagrams based on customer requirements and standards, drawing up drive specifications and providing technical support to the sales department;
• Be able to configure/parameterize and test propulsion systems (including motors, battery charging systems and µGrid systems) based on customer requirements, standards and class regulations;
• Report professionally to the project team, the client and classification authorities;
• Providing on-site support for complex drive systems, both nationally and internationally;
• Provide after-sales support for the delivered product/system;
• Monitoring and reporting own progress;
• Communicate proactively with the Lead Engineer or Project Manager.

The Business Unit Systems operates under the brand name Marpower. Marpower is a leader in the field of power converters and automation solutions for the maritime and offshore market. Within the Power Systems cluster, high-quality power electronics systems are developed, produced and supplied for energy storage, drives, DC distribution, grid conversion and shore power connections. These systems are fully automated by the Marpower Automation platform for, among other things, power and energy management.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Measurement and Control Technology or comparable;
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of drive systems in the industry or maritime sector;
• Experience with control technology and the simulation of power electronics;
• Experience with carrying out Power Quality analyzes and measurements on power electronics;
• Good communication skills and you are a team player;
• Proactive attitude and good analytical skills;
• Good command of the English language, spoken and written;
• Willing to travel (internationally) occasionally.
