Function
Eekels | TBI is looking for an Electrician Yachting for the Amsterdam location. As an electrician, you will help build a specific yacht. Using cable lists, overview drawings and electrical diagrams, cables are installed and systems are connected. You will also help commission these various systems that are installed on board. You will test whether everything is working properly and resolve any errors. The construction time of a yacht varies, but consider 1.5 to 3 years of completion time. This depends on the size of the yacht.
What is expected of you?
- Working on the installation and conversion of various electrical installations and instrumentation on board a yacht;
- Commissioning of complex electronic installations;
- Implementing technical changes (in consultation);
- Working in accordance with quality, health and safety and environmental guidelines and regulations;
- The permanent location is Amsterdam, but placement at another location is also possible in the future.
Environment
The Business Unit Yachting is one of the largest electrotechnical system integrators within the Dutch yacht building industry and is active at various shipyards such as Royal van Lent, Royal De Vries Scheepsbouw and Royal Hakvoort. As a system integrator, we are present from start to finish to install and connect the self-designed systems. This for the energy supply to the yacht control and all conceivable technological experiences on board.
Experience
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
- Secondary school education level 3 (mbo) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
- Demonstrable work experience as an electrician;
- Be able to read technical drawings and diagrams (e.g. via Autocad and E-plan);
- Able to work independently, but also able to work well in a team;
- Working safely and healthily is a given for you;
- Ready to travel.
