Eekels | TBI is looking for an ambitious Junior Design & Proposal Engineer for the Business Unit Marine & Offshore for the Kolham location. In this position you will be involved in the quotation process for electrical installations and systems for ships. You will play an important role in many different projects within the dynamic maritime industry.
As a Junior Design & Proposal Engineer, you are at the beginning of your career. You are part of the Design & Proposal team that will support you in your work. This mainly consists of investigating the needs of the customer who has sent a request. You collect the necessary information. Based on this, you make a design, technical description of the components, calculation of the costs and a quotation. In doing so, you take into account the proper functioning of the system and its sustainability. You learn to work with the existing tools, so that you are eventually able to work independently. As soon as an order has been confirmed, you ensure that all your data is transferred to the project team.
What is expected of you?
- Developing yourself as a Design & Proposal Engineer;
- Provide technical support to the sales team, which is responsible for commercial negotiations with the customer;
- Maintaining contact and discussing requests with customers in order to provide the most appropriate quotation;
- Being able to translate customer requirements into a design, which forms the basis for you to create the technical description of the components, calculate the costs and make the proposal to the customer;
- In consultation with the Manager Design & Proposal, determine the strategy to deliver on time and with the desired technical and content accuracy;
- Responsible for making reliable cost calculations;
- Maintain contacts with internal and external suppliers.

Experience
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
- You have a higher professional education (hbo) work and intellectual level;
- Experience in electrical engineering or training in electrical engineering is preferred;
- Experience in the field of energy transition is preferred;
- Experience with systems in the maritime sector is preferred;
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
