Function

Eekels | TBI is looking for a lead software engineer Systems for the Emmen location. As lead software engineer, you are responsible for the technical implementation of the project. Together with the project leader, you determine the strategy for achieving the planned project results.

What is expected of you?

  • Managing project teams consisting of engineers, developers and commissioning staff;
  • Creating the basic design and engineering critical design parts;
  • Anticipate activities that deviate from the project planning and inform the project manager about project progress during project execution;
  • Representing Eekels to the customer, being the point of contact for technical aspects and contributing to an excellent relationship with the customer;
  • Initiating improvement proposals (product improvement, process improvement) that lead to a strengthening of Eekels' competitive position.


Environment

The Systems business unit develops and supplies drive systems, shore power connection systems, Marine Automation Systems and customer-specific electronics for the various market areas in which Eekels is active. The systems are marketed under the name Marpower.

Experience

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

  • Bachelor degree in (technical) Computer Science (or comparable)
  • Several years of work experience in a similar position;
  • Experience with automation software (eg PLC, SCADA, HMI);
  • Experience with the IEC 61131-3 standard (Structured Text, Function Block Diagram);
  • Creative and solution-oriented;
  • Good teamwork and communication skills;
  • Proactive employee with good analytical skills;
  • A good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
