Function

Eekels | TBI is looking for a Product Manager for its Kolham location. As Product Manager/Owner, you will be responsible for Marpower's Modular Propulsion Platform (MPP) product. You will continuously optimize the product based on customer needs and our Configure to Order (CTO) approach. You will manage the product lifecycle " from cradle to grave " in line with the organization's strategic and financial goals and lead the development team. The product range consists of the functional design, the physical hardware of the MPP, and the necessary software. You will play a central role within the organization, interfacing with the commercial, operational, and development teams. Your role will require frequent travel. You will be part of the management team and work closely with the Sales Manager and the Production Manager. You will report to the BU Manager.

What is expected of you?

  • Research and evaluate new technologies, regulations and innovation opportunities;
  • In collaboration with our sales and service departments, among others, defining customer values and translating them into hardware and software requirements for the product (configurations);
  • Translating long-term strategies into the product roadmap, from which you formulate development assignments with clear product specifications for the development teams;
  • Managing and optimizing the existing product range, including phasing out products;
  • Creating, managing and prioritizing the product backlog;
  • Managing a multidisciplinary development team.

Experience

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

  • Demonstrable higher professional (hbo) or academic education (wo) work and intellectual level;
  • Demonstrable higher vocational or university work and thinking level;
  • At least five years of work experience in a product management role;
  • Experience in the maritime sector and/or electrification is an advantage;
  • Affinity with technical products, software development and industrial design;
  • Experience with Agile working methods is an advantage;
  • Good communication skills and teamwork come naturally to you;
  • Proactive approach and good analytical skills;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
