Function

Eekels | TBI is looking for a Software Engineer for its Kolham location. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and standardization of software modules within our "Configure to Order" (CTO) product philosophy. You will develop modular and scalable software solutions that perfectly match our electrical modules. In this role, you will ensure that our software standards are optimized and secured within the CTO process. You will work on the development of standardized modular solutions, simplifying configuration and providing our customers with a flexible product offering. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Manager, production, and other disciplines within the development team to coordinate technical feasibility and efficient production. You will occasionally assist at the production site to discuss designs and supervise implementations. In your role, you will report directly to the Product Manager.

What is expected of you?

  • Developing and managing modular software designs that fit within the CTO philosophy;
  • Coordinating software components with electrical engineers for an integrated and configurable product portfolio;
  • Define and document standard software modules to improve product configuration and production efficiency;
  • Carrying out product development processes, ensuring software designs are secured within the product lifecycle;
  • Supporting production (Galati production facility, Romania) in implementing new software standards and product improvements;
  • Developing software for automated testing of product modules during production;
  • Securing information and designs in Plastic SCM and other version control methodologies to optimize product management and team collaboration.

Experience

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

  • Demonstrable higher professional education (bachelor level and knowledge);
  • At least five years of experience in software design, product development and/or CTO environments;
  • Knowledge of and experience with C#, Netcore, codeSys and industrial networks;
  • Experience in the maritime sector is an advantage;
  • Experience with Plastic SCM and other version control methodologies;
  • Affinity with technical products and industrial design;
  • Good communication skills and teamwork come naturally to you;
  • Proactive approach and good analytical skills;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
